Mentor for Adults

A mentor provides one-on-one assistance in the Adult Sunday school classroom to an adult with special needs by giving them encouragement and support so they can grow in their faith while fully participating in all activities.  Mentors may also be invited to participate in occasional social and service opportunities with the class members.

Time required per week/month: One service/twice a month

Term of commitment:  Six months minimum

Qualifications: Patient, flexible, loving and teachable. Must fill out an application and complete a background check   Training provided: General special needs ministry training; provided by Valley Church. Individual training provided in the classroom as needed.
