EXPLORER GROUP
Groups are offered for non-Christians who want to join a spiritual discussion group… to check out for themselves different aspects of the Christian faith.  People of diverse backgrounds are welcome and respected.  An Explorer Group is for anyone who wants to investigate Christianity informally with a group of other people. Whether you have previous experience of Church, Christians and the Bible, or none at all, this course is for you. Whether you are a convinced atheist or leaning toward becoming a Christian, you are welcome. We will respect your background, culture and beliefs. FIRST STEPS FOR NEW BELIEVERS
To start your new journey with Jesus Christ, we encourage you to begin to build a daily, personal relationship with Him.  How?

1.    CONTINUE TO TRUST GOD – Just as you started by trusting Christ, continue to trust him for everything in your life.  You can never earn God’s love.  He loves you unconditionally and wants to help you to know him in a personal relationship.  Trust him every day.

2.    FOLLOW GOD’S GUIDEBOOK – On a daily basis, read a portion of the Bible and spend some time talking with God.  You can start by reading a chapter of the Gospel of John each day.  Ask God to help you understand it and begin to follow whatever He teaches you.  Share with God all your needs and thank him for all his goodness.  Ask him for direction for your life.

3.    GROW WITH OTHER CHRIST FOLLOWERS – Get involved in a church that teaches God’s Word.  Other Christ-followers can encourage you in your new adventure.  We welcome you to join us here at Valley Church.  On Sundays, we meet for worship at 8:15, 9:30, and 11 am.  We also offer Sunday School (for children and youth) and Life Groups (for adults) on Sunday mornings where you can connect with others.  Check out many opportunities for your spiritual growth in the magazines you received tonight.

4.    TELL SOMEONE ELSE – Share with someone you know that you have trusted in Christ and have begun a personal relationship with God.
